F.A.Q’s About Our Private Events

What is on the menu?

Selecting the menu is the most fun part! You may choose from custom menus we will happily develop for you. Please inform us of any special interests or topics you may have in mind to aid in this process. We prefer to correspond via email to facilitate timely responses.

I have a food allergy. Can I still have an event?

We believe in using the highest quality ingredients and preparing them with care. We are happy to accommodate your food allergies and sensitivities whenever the menu allows. Please inform us of any special dietary needs so that we may strive to accommodate you.

What is there to drink?

Filtered or bottled water will be provided during class. We carry wine in all price ranges, mostly small production hand-crafted wines. We also stock a modest selection of craft beer. We pride ourselves on food and wine pairings, which compose a large portion of our educational programs at TSG. We hope you will trust us to make quality selections in keeping with your preferences and budget.

Can I bring my own alcohol?

With at least one week’s notice we can provide most any wine or beer available in New Hanover County and request outside sources not be served.

Are there Non-alcohol options?

We have an array of sparkling and flavored waters; as well as, sodas available for purchase. We can brew coffee and tea for your event upon request; please let us know in advance if you would like us to have a hot pot ready for you.

Special Dietary Needs

Please inform us of any special dietary needs, allergies, or other restrictions any member of your group may have when booking the event. The chef/instructor will determine if the menu is safe for those individuals; if we can make substitutions, we are happy to do so.

Deposit

We require a 25% non-refundable deposit be made to hold the date and compensate for our planning in the event you cancel your event. This deposit is applied in full to your event cost and may be transferred to another date if your reschedule. We will determine this amount once the date and menu is selected.

Payment, Tax, Tips

We calculate costs based on expected number of guests and confirm this number three days prior to your event. On the day of your event, payment is expected for the confirmed number in your party; there is no discount for late cancellations (within 72 hours of the event). Additional guests being added to your party late will be accommodated at the discretion of the chef; please call us as soon as possible to add guests to your party.
